Remove a background and download a transparent PNG
Create a real transparent cutout of a person or product rather than a white rectangle or a painted checkerboard.
Choose the subject
Open Edit photo and upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB and 24 MP. Choose a source with the whole subject visible.
Request a transparent cutout
Use the Remove background prompt chip or describe the cutout yourself. Enable the transparent-background option. State what must remain and which surrounding objects should disappear.
Run the processing
Choose quality and check the displayed credit price. Start the task and wait. The service requests a PNG with alpha transparency; if processing fails, the reserved credits are returned.
Download PNG
Download the PNG and check it over a coloured background. A checkerboard in the preview indicates transparency; it must not be painted into the picture. JPG cannot retain transparency.
Example description
Keep only the red handbag. Remove the table, background and shadow, leaving a transparent background.
Practical tips
